From October 2006
- Normal retirement age considered to be 65.
- Employees to be given 6 months notice of retirement.
- Employers who try to force staff to retire earlier will be breaking the Law unles they can show justifably reasons.
- Employees will have the right to ask to work beyond that date.
- Employees will be able to claim for unfair dismissal/redundancy payments regardless of what age they are.
